A no-stovetop pecan fudge recipe, made in the microwave and set in the freezer — the whole method fits on one small card, front and back.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (1#) powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine or butter
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 cup pecans
Method
- Line an 8x8x2 pan with foil.
- Sift sugar and cocoa into a 2 qt baking dish.
- Add milk and butter — do not stir (underlined in original).
- Microwave 2-1/2 minutes.
- Add vanilla, stir until all ingredients are well blended.
- Turn into the foil-lined pan.
- Put in the freezer 10 minutes.
- Store in a tin.
