A pizza-flavored meatloaf — tomato paste, oregano, and basil mixed into the loaf itself, then finished under mozzarella — reassembled here from the front and back of one card.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1-1/2 lb ground meat
- salt
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp basil leaves
- 1 egg
- 1 cup soft stale bread crumbs
- mozzarella cheese — ⚠ not stated on the card (quantity not given)
- chopped parsley — ⚠ not stated on the card (quantity not given)
Method
Combine the ingredients and form into a loaf. Bake at 375°F for 45 minutes. Bake an additional 10 minutes. Top with mozzarella cheese and bake a final 5 minutes. Serves 6.
Notes on the artifact
Reassembled from two scans that are the front and back of one card. The front is headed "Pizza Meat Loaf" on a "From the kitchen of..." card template with a Holly-Hobbie-style girl and a black cat illustration, and ends "(over)"; the back carries the method. A yellowed tape patch appears in mirrored positions on both sides of the card — the physical evidence that confirms these two scans are the front and back of the same card, not two unrelated pages. No manufacturer mark, no attribution, and no date.
