Read this one with the card open. Something on it is illegible, missing or ambiguous. It is transcribed exactly as written — nothing has been guessed or filled in — and every uncertainty is marked below.

⚠ NO QUANTITIES ARE GIVEN FOR THE TOPPING ON THIS CARD. It names the ingredients only:

Notes
★ THIS IS A SECOND VERSION OF A RECIPE ALREADY IN THE BOX
See
rhubarb-dream-dessert.md— same recipe, different card, different hand, different spelling of both the fruit and the title. The other card is complete and supplies exactly what this one is missing.
⚠ The topping quantities are absent from this card and are NOT copied in from the sibling. For the
record, rhubarb-dream-dessert gives them as 2 beaten eggs · 1¼ c. sugar · ¼ c. flour · pinch of salt ·
2 c. chopped rhubarb — but that is a different document, and merging the two into one "corrected"
recipe would destroy the evidence that the family held two versions. They stay separate and
cross-referenced. publish: needs-review so a person decides which one goes out, or whether both do.
The two cards differ in more than spelling, and the differences are the interesting part: - this one says butter, the other says margarine - this one bakes the crust 10–15 min, the other 15–20 min - this one adds "sift together" for the dry topping ingredients; the other does not - this one puts the doubling note at the top, as a heading; the other adds it at the bottom, as an afterthought
Two people wrote this recipe down at different times, and one of them was working from the other or from a shared source. Which came first is not knowable from the cards.
The bottom line sits on the scan's edge and is slightly clipped but fully legible.
