Strawberry Pretzel Squares (Jell-O brand clipping)
From the family recipe box
What it is
The standard three-layer strawberry pretzel dessert: a salted pretzel-crumb crust, a sweetened cream cheese and Cool Whip layer, and a strawberry gelatin layer set with fresh sliced berries.
Crust — 2 cups finely crushed pretzels · ⅓ cup sugar · ⅔ cup melted margarine or butter. Bake 350°F for 10 minutes, cool. Middle — 12 oz cream cheese · ¼ cup sugar · 2 Tbsp milk · 1 cup thawed COOL WHIP. Top — 2 cups boiling water · one 8-serving (or two 4-serving) package JELL-O Strawberry gelatin · 1½ cups cold water · 2 pints sliced strawberries. Thicken 1½ hours, spoon over, then refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
Makes 15 to 18 servings. 13 × 9-inch pan.
Notes
Filed to Printed\ on the folder test — printed, no handwriting, published source, brand-owned. No
judgement call needed.
Worth noting that whoever kept this mounted it on a card so it would file with the handwritten ones. That is a small piece of evidence about how the box was used: the clippings were not loose scraps, they were made into cards. It changes nothing about publishability.
Not transcribed verbatim in full, per the standing call on printed material — the scan is the reference; this brief exists so the recipe is findable without opening it.
